ClinConnect Summary
The Sacramento Clinical High Risk for Psychosis Stepped-Care Program is a study designed to help identify and support young people who are at risk for developing psychosis, which is a serious mental health condition. The study is taking place in several community mental health centers and is focused on providing a step-by-step approach to treatment. This means that participants will receive care that is tailored to their specific needs, helping them to get the right support at the right time.
To be eligible for this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 12 and 25, be assessed as being at clinical high risk for psychosis, and be receiving care at one of the participating mental health clinics. Participants will also need to be eligible for Sacramento County Medicare and able to give consent for their involvement. Those with certain severe intellectual disabilities or who need immediate intensive care will not be included. If someone joins the study, they can expect to receive personalized care and support aimed at reducing their risk of developing more serious mental health issues.
