ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at adolescents with a condition called adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS), which is a curve in the spine that happens for no known reason. Researchers are using special 3D imaging technology to take detailed pictures of the back to measure two important factors: the height difference of the back and how much the trunk (the upper body) rotates. They will track these measurements before and after standard treatments like massage, exercise therapy, and bracing to see how effective these methods are in improving scoliosis.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 10 and 18 years old and have a Cobb angle (a way to measure the curvature of the spine) of at least 10 degrees. They should not have had any previous spinal surgeries or other treatments for scoliosis. Those who join will stay in the hospital for five days while receiving treatment and will help researchers gather important information. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and all adolescents, regardless of gender, are welcome to apply.
