ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is comparing two different sizes of biopsy needles used during a procedure called EUS-guided liver biopsy (EUS-LB), which helps doctors diagnose liver diseases. The study is looking at whether a thicker 19-gauge needle or a thinner 22-gauge needle is better for obtaining samples from the liver. Some doctors think the thinner needle is safer, but others believe the thicker needle provides better samples for diagnosis. By using the same doctor and taking samples from the same part of the liver during the same session, the trial aims to find out which needle gives clearer and more accurate results.

To participate in this trial, you might be eligible if you are between the ages of 18 and 80 and have liver enzyme levels that are higher than normal, suggesting possible liver disease. However, if you have certain conditions like cancer, severe liver disease, or if you are pregnant, you may not be able to join. If you do participate, you can expect to undergo the biopsy procedure, which will help doctors learn more about your liver condition. It’s important to know that the trial is currently looking for participants, and your involvement could contribute to better understanding and treatment of liver diseases in the future.
