ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective a specific type of exercise therapy called lumbopelvic stabilization is for children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) who also have issues with their urinary tract. The study will include boys aged 8 to 12 who can still walk and have a certain level of urinary problems. To participate, children need to have been diagnosed with DMD by a doctor and have a score indicating significant urinary issues.
Participants will be divided into two groups. One group will receive special online exercise sessions led by a physiotherapist, along with education about managing their urinary symptoms. The other group will only get the educational support. Over eight weeks, both groups will undergo assessments to see how their symptoms and physical abilities change. This study aims to find out if the exercise therapy can help improve their condition and overall well-being. It's important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available once it begins.
