ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking to see if a special approach called CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance), when combined with creative dance, can help improve thinking skills in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). MCI can affect memory, attention, and the ability to carry out daily tasks. The study will compare two groups of participants: one will participate in CO-OP alone, while the other will take part in CO-OP along with creative dance for eight weeks. Researchers want to find out if the dance helps improve skills like memory and attention more than CO-OP by itself.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 65 and 85 years old and have a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment. They should be able to participate in physical activities, like dance, and be willing to attend all sessions. However, those with more serious cognitive issues, certain physical impairments, or specific mental health conditions may not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in fun cognitive tasks and dance activities, all while learning how to better manage their daily lives. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how creative movements might support cognitive health in older adults.
