ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well patients do after having surgery to repair a rotator cuff tear in the shoulder, and whether some of these patients may need a different type of surgery called reverse shoulder arthroplasty after 10 years. The study aims to follow up with 733 participants who had this surgery at Lovisenberg Diaconal Hospital between 2010 and 2014, to find out how many of them have ongoing shoulder problems or a condition called cuff arthropathy. The goal is to better understand the long-term effects of the initial surgery and any complications that may arise.
To participate, you need to have had rotator cuff repair surgery at Lovisenberg Diaconal Hospital during the specified time, be able to read and write in Norwegian, and be willing to share your experiences after the surgery. If you join, you can expect to undergo follow-up examinations that may include questionnaires and X-rays to assess your shoulder's condition. This study is important because it will provide valuable information about how well the surgery works over time and what factors might affect recovery.
