ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how training paramedics to perform an emergency procedure called an Emergency Surgical Airway (ESA) can boost their confidence when dealing with airway emergencies. Specifically, the study focuses on a training method known as the Emergency Reflex Action Drill (ERAD). Dutch paramedics who meet certain criteria, such as being registered and participating in a specific trauma course, are invited to take part. They will complete questionnaires before and after the training to share their feelings about their skills, and they will also answer follow-up questions after 2 to 3 months and again after one year to see if the training's effects last.
If you or someone you know is a registered Dutch paramedic working on an Advanced Life Support Ambulance, this might be an opportunity to enhance skills and confidence in critical situations. The study is currently seeking participants and welcomes paramedics of all genders. By joining, participants can help improve emergency care for patients while also gaining valuable training and insights into their own professional capabilities.
