ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is researching how far people with chronic stroke can walk in six minutes, known as the 6-minute walk test (6MWT). The study aims to find out what the normal walking distances are for these patients and to identify factors that might influence how far they can walk. This information could help improve rehabilitation and care for stroke survivors.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 18 and 80 years old, have had their first stroke at least six months ago but less than ten years ago, and be able to walk independently or with a light touch for balance. Unfortunately, those with certain health issues that could affect their walking ability or those with other neurological conditions will not be included. Participants will be expected to take part in the 6MWT, which is a simple walking test that will help researchers gather important data. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so this is just the beginning of the process.
