ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying ways to help more adults get vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza, which are both serious illnesses. The researchers will test two different strategies at eight primary care clinics in Rochester and Kasson. Four clinics will use both strategies, while the other four will not. One strategy involves sending letters to patients recommending that they get vaccinated and providing information on how to do so. The other strategy sends monthly reminders to doctors to encourage them to offer these vaccines to their patients during visits. By comparing vaccination rates after six months between the clinics, the researchers hope to see if these tactics make a difference.
To participate in this study, you must be 19 years or older and a patient at one of the eight primary care clinics involved in the trial. Unfortunately, those under 18 or not connected to these clinics will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to receive information about the vaccines and encouragement from your healthcare providers. This trial is ongoing and aims to identify effective ways to improve vaccination rates, which can help protect individuals and the community from these diseases.
