ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to treat gum recession, a condition where the gums pull back from the teeth, which can lead to tooth sensitivity and other issues. The researchers want to compare two methods: one that uses a special technique called the tunnel technique along with a connective tissue graft and an injection of platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF), and another that uses the tunnel technique with just the connective tissue graft. The goal is to see if adding the injection helps improve healing and results.
To participate in this study, individuals must be over 21 years old, in good health, and have specific types of gum recession (known as Miller class I or II). They should not smoke or have certain health conditions that would make surgery risky. Participants will have a chance to receive one of the two treatment methods, and their progress will be evaluated after six months. This trial is currently recruiting, so eligible individuals can join to help advance knowledge in treating gum recession effectively.
