ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Improving Surgical Communication for Patients in Wisconsin," is studying a new training program designed to help surgeons communicate better with their patients. The aim is to ensure that patients receive the information they need to make informed decisions about their surgical options. By improving this communication, the hope is to enhance the overall experience for patients undergoing surgery.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 18 years old and speak English. If you're a patient, you should be visiting a surgeon at the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a surgical issue. Surgeons involved in the study will mainly be those who treat adult patients in an outpatient setting. Participants may fill out surveys, join focus groups, or receive training on how to have better conversations about surgical care. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you think you might be eligible, it could be a great opportunity to help improve surgical communication for future patients.
