ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how digital health tools can help improve the care of pregnant refugee women who may have high blood pressure, a condition known as gestational hypertension. The study aims to test a digital monitoring system that can check for high blood pressure and related health problems during pregnancy. It will also see if this system can effectively identify risks for serious conditions like preeclampsia, which can affect both the mother and baby.

To participate, women must be pregnant, at least 18 years old, and recognized as refugees or asylum seekers by the U.S. government. Participants will attend in-person appointments to share information about their health and stress levels, and they will receive tools like a smartwatch and an electronic blood pressure cuff to track their health at home. This research is important because it could lead to better detection and management of health issues in pregnant refugee women, ultimately improving their safety and care during pregnancy.
