ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how strong the muscles in the front of the thigh (called knee extensors) are in healthy individuals. Strong muscles are important for everyday activities like standing and walking, and they can also help improve overall health. The researchers want to create standard reference values for a specific strength test called the one-repetition maximum (1RM) test, which measures the maximum weight someone can lift in one attempt. Currently, there aren’t consistent guidelines for this test, so the study aims to develop a clear method that can be used reliably.
To participate in this trial, people aged 18 to 80 years old can join as long as they are generally healthy and do not have any conditions that might affect the test results. Participants should expect to go through a series of strength assessments, and the study will help establish new guidelines that could benefit future exercise programs. It’s important to note that individuals with certain health issues, low or high body weight, or those who wish to leave the study at any time will not be eligible to participate.
