ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the best way to help elderly individuals improve their balance and reduce the risk of falls. Researchers are comparing two different rehabilitation methods: one involves using a special treadmill called the Walker View, which has sensors to help track movement and offers exercises for balance, while the other method is traditional group therapy. The goal is to find out which approach is more effective in helping older adults regain their balance and feel safer in their daily lives. Additionally, the study will use Artificial Intelligence to identify patterns that could help quickly diagnose balance issues and prevent falls.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 65 years old, have experienced balance problems, and be able to understand and consent to the study. They should not have any serious health issues that would prevent them from participating. Participants can expect to engage in either the treadmill or group therapy sessions, and their progress will be monitored. This research is important because it aims to improve the quality of life for older adults by reducing falls, which can lead to significant health complications.
