ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a training program designed to help midwives provide better support to parents who have experienced stillbirth or other forms of pregnancy loss. Losing a baby can lead to serious emotional challenges for parents, such as anxiety, depression, and feelings of inadequacy. The goal of this study is to create and test a training program that equips midwives with the skills and knowledge they need to offer compassionate care to these families during such a difficult time.
To participate in this trial, midwives need to have been actively working in areas like obstetrics or perinatal care for at least one year. However, academic or freelance midwives, as well as those who have already received specialized training in bereavement care, are not eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, midwives who join can expect to engage in a structured training program aimed at improving their ability to support grieving parents effectively. This initiative is important because it not only helps families heal but also supports the emotional well-being of healthcare providers.
