ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new tool called the ThinkSono Guidance System, which is designed to help healthcare providers detect blood clots in veins more easily and safely. Blood clots, known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolus, can be serious conditions, and this system allows nurses and other healthcare professionals to perform ultrasound exams using a mobile app. This means they can do the tests right where you are, without needing heavy equipment. The trial is currently looking for participants who are over 18, have symptoms that suggest a DVT, and are willing to give their consent to be part of the study.
If you decide to participate, you'll undergo an ultrasound exam guided by the ThinkSono app, which aims to make the process simpler and more efficient. It's important to note that you need to be able to cooperate during the scan, and if there are any issues during the procedure, you might not be able to complete it. This study is taking place at multiple sites, and it is designed to help confirm the effectiveness of this innovative tool in diagnosing blood clots, which could lead to better care for patients in the future.
