ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether combining a special counseling method called Nurse-Conducted Brief Intervention (NCBI) with a mobile app can help prevent relapse in men with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). The goal is to see if using technology, like a smartphone app, can improve the way we support patients in managing their alcohol use and reduce the chances of returning to drinking after treatment.
To participate in this study, men aged 18 to 59 who have been diagnosed with alcohol dependence and own an Android smartphone would be eligible. Unfortunately, women and those with other serious mental or physical health issues, or who abuse other substances (besides tobacco), cannot take part. If you are eligible and choose to join, you will receive counseling from a nurse along with access to the mobile app designed to help you stay on track with your recovery. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it offers an exciting opportunity to explore new ways to support individuals facing challenges with alcohol use.
