ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help reduce pain during a procedure called office hysteroscopy, which is performed to examine the inside of the uterus. Researchers are comparing two types of pain relief: one that uses a combination of two medications, ketorolac and lidocaine, and another that uses just lidocaine. The goal is to see if the combination provides better pain relief for women undergoing this procedure.
To participate in the trial, you must be a woman who is scheduled for an office hysteroscopy at Mount Sinai Hospital. However, you cannot join if you have allergies to ketorolac or lidocaine, certain blood conditions, or a history of stomach ulcers, among other health issues. If you take part, you will receive either the combination of medications or just lidocaine, and neither you nor the doctors will know which one you got to keep the results unbiased. This trial is currently looking for participants, and it aims to improve comfort for patients during this important procedure.
