ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the safety and feasibility of getting patients up and moving early while they are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Many patients in the ICU develop a condition called Intensive Care Unit Acquired Weakness (ICU-AW), which causes muscle weakness and can lead to longer recovery times and other health issues. By encouraging early mobilization and rehabilitation, the researchers hope to see if it can help patients recover better and faster.
To participate in the study, patients need to be at least 18 years old and currently admitted to the ICU. However, those who are extremely unstable, have certain serious medical conditions, or are recovering from specific surgeries may not be eligible. If you or a loved one joins the study, you can expect to be part of a supportive program aimed at getting you moving safely, which may help improve recovery outcomes. The study is currently recruiting participants, and it's being conducted in multiple hospitals to gather a wide range of data.
