ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different methods of pain relief for patients who are having upper abdominal surgery. The researchers want to compare the effectiveness of two techniques: the rhomboid intercostal plane block and the thoracic erector spinae block, both guided by ultrasound. These methods aim to help manage pain after surgery, making recovery more comfortable for patients.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between the ages of 21 and 65 and be classified as either ASA I or II, which means they are generally healthy or have mild health issues. Patients will not be able to join if they have certain medical conditions, are allergic to the medications used, or have chronic pain issues. Those who decide to participate can expect to receive one of the two pain relief techniques during their surgery, and the results will help doctors understand which method works better for managing pain after upper abdominal surgeries.
