ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different preventive measures can help reduce the risk of a condition called postoperative lung atelectasis after abdominal surgeries. Lung atelectasis happens when part of the lung collapses, which can make it harder to breathe after surgery. The researchers will use ultrasound to evaluate the effectiveness of various methods, such as ventilation (breathing support) and fluid management, to help prevent this issue.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 30 and 60 years old, have a healthy weight (BMI less than 40), and be scheduled for elective abdominal surgery. Patients with certain health conditions, like severe lung issues or psychiatric disorders, won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive one of the preventive measures being studied, and your lung function will be monitored with ultrasound to see how well it works. This research aims to improve recovery after surgery and enhance overall respiratory health for patients.
