ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to study the safety and outcomes of laparoscopic abdominal surgery, which is a type of minimally invasive surgery. Researchers want to understand how often problems occur during these surgeries and how these problems might affect patient recovery and overall results. They will be using video recordings of the surgeries to carefully evaluate any issues that arise, their severity, and how they relate to the surgeon’s performance. This information will help in identifying ways to improve surgical practices and patient safety.
To be eligible for this trial, patients must be scheduled for elective minimally invasive surgery at one of the participating centers and should not have any conditions that would prevent them from undergoing anesthesia or surgery. They also need to be able to understand the study and give their consent to participate. However, patients who are having surgery for palliative reasons, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and individuals under legal guardianship cannot participate. If you join the study, you will be part of a process aimed at enhancing the quality and safety of surgical care for future patients.
