External Oblique Intercostal Plan Block Wound Infiltration Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Postoperative Pain

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a method to help manage pain after laparoscopic cholecystectomy, a type of surgery to remove the gallbladder. The researchers want to see if a specific type of pain relief technique, called the External Oblique Intercostal Plane Block, is more effective than another method used during the surgery. This is important because reducing pain after surgery can lead to quicker recovery times, fewer complications, and happier patients.

To participate in this trial, you should be between 18 and 65 years old and scheduled for an elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Certain health conditions, like severe liver or heart issues, or a history of abdominal surgery, may prevent you from participating. If you join the study, you can expect to receive either the new pain relief technique or the standard method, and your pain levels will be monitored after your surgery. The trial is currently looking for participants, so it could be a good opportunity to contribute to important research while receiving care for your condition.
