ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the best ways to confirm that a breathing tube, called an endotracheal tube, has been placed correctly in patients who are being intubated in the emergency department. Intubation is a procedure used to help patients breathe, especially in urgent situations. The researchers will compare three different ultrasound methods to see which one is the most accurate for checking the tube's position. Two trained specialists will independently look at the images without knowing each other's findings, ensuring that their assessments are unbiased.

To participate in this study, patients must be over 18 years old and in the emergency department needing intubation as decided by their doctor. Unfortunately, pregnant patients and those with certain medical conditions or past surgeries that could interfere with the ultrasound evaluation cannot join the study. Participants can expect to undergo their usual care, while the researchers will use ultrasound to assess the placement of the breathing tube. This study aims to improve the safety and accuracy of intubation procedures in emergency situations.
