Risk Factors Recurrent Epistaxis

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on understanding the risk factors that may cause nosebleeds, also known as epistaxis, to happen again in adults. The researchers will look at patients who were treated in the Emergency Department for nosebleeds between January 2022 and July 2023. They will review medical records and contact patients to gather information about whether their nosebleeds returned after treatment. By studying various factors, the team aims to find out which ones might increase the chances of nosebleeds happening again.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults over 18 years old who were admitted to the Emergency Department for a nosebleed during the study period. Importantly, individuals who do not want to participate in the study will be excluded. If you decide to join, you can expect to answer some questions about your health and the recurrence of nosebleeds. This study is important because it could help doctors understand how to better treat and prevent future nosebleeds for patients like you.
