ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how two specific techniques, called sleep restriction and stimulus control, can help people with chronic insomnia improve their sleep habits. Sleep restriction involves limiting the time spent in bed to help strengthen the connection between being in bed and actually sleeping. Stimulus control focuses on creating a better sleep environment and habits to encourage sleep. The goal is to see if these methods can help people who have trouble sleeping feel better and sleep more soundly.

To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with insomnia based on specific guidelines. You should also have a score of over 5 on a sleep quality questionnaire, which indicates trouble sleeping. However, if you have serious health issues, certain sleep disorders, or if you’re currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or receiving psychological therapy, you would not be eligible to join. If you decide to take part, you will help researchers learn more about effective ways to manage insomnia, and in return, you may find that your sleep improves through the techniques taught in the study.
