ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on creating a weight loss program specifically for African American women who have survived breast cancer. The goal is to make the "Take Off Pounds Sensibly" (TOPS) program more relevant and helpful for these survivors. The study has two parts: first, researchers will hold focus groups with African American breast cancer survivors to gather their thoughts and feedback on the TOPS materials. In the second part, the feedback will be used to improve and tailor the TOPS classes to better meet the needs of these women.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be African American women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher, and have completed their main cancer treatment. It's important to note that women who have diabetes, are already in another weight loss program, or don’t have access to a smartphone or the internet for virtual meetings cannot participate. If you join this study, you can expect to share your experiences and help shape a program that aims to support weight loss and overall health for women like you.
