ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a group exercise program that uses videos and other media to help patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stay active while they receive hemodialysis (HD). Many people with CKD who are on HD struggle with muscle weakness and other health issues because they are often inactive during treatment. The study aims to see if this exercise program is safe and easy to follow during HD sessions, and to understand why some patients might struggle to participate.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have been receiving hemodialysis for at least three months, undergoing treatment three times a week. Unfortunately, those with certain health problems, like severe joint issues or neurological disorders, won’t be able to join. If someone participates, they can expect to engage in a supportive group exercise environment designed to improve their strength and overall health while managing their dialysis treatment. The study also aims to gather important information about muscle strength and activity levels among patients, which can help improve care for everyone in the future.
