ClinConnect Summary
The Kick-Nic! Youth Quit Vaping App trial is studying whether a special app can help high school students quit vaping. If you're a student between 13 and 19 years old who currently uses e-cigarettes and wants to stop, you might be eligible to join this study. Participants will be randomly assigned to use the Kick-Nic! app or a standard quitting website for 8 weeks. Throughout this time, researchers will check in every two weeks to see how well they're doing in quitting, and they’ll also follow up after one, two, three, and six months to see if they’ve stayed off e-cigarettes.
Participants will need a smartphone with internet access to use the app, and they should not have serious mental health conditions that could complicate their participation. The study will also involve interviews to gather feedback about the app and how it can be improved. This is an exciting opportunity for young people who want to kick the habit of vaping and contribute to research that could help others in the future!
