ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking to understand how common iron deficiency is among women who visit the DeGroote Pain Clinic, particularly those dealing with conditions like fibromyalgia. The study aims to find out if treating iron deficiency can improve health outcomes for these patients. Researchers will measure iron levels in the blood of female patients and provide treatment, such as iron pills or infusions, if needed. Participants will also complete a questionnaire to share their experiences and any improvements they notice after treatment.

To join the trial, women who are currently menstruating and between the ages of 18 and 49 must be patients at the DeGroote Pain Clinic. If you decide to participate, you'll need to complete some tests and the questionnaire. The trial is not yet open for recruitment, but it’s an important study that could help improve the care of women experiencing pain related to iron deficiency.
