ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new version of a mobile app called ViraBrite, which is designed to help adolescents who are struggling with thoughts of suicide or mental health issues. The app aims to improve how young people engage with safety planning and coping skills during times of emotional distress. By using advanced technology, the app can send helpful resources and reminders exactly when they are most needed, potentially reducing the risk of suicide in teens.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 12 and 18, have recently experienced suicidal thoughts or attempts, and be able to read and understand English. A parent or legal guardian must also be willing to provide consent for their involvement. Over four weeks, participants will use the app and provide feedback on its features to help researchers make it even more effective. This study is important because it aims to enhance support for young people in crisis and could lead to better tools for preventing suicide in the future.
