ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a device called the BioIntellisense BioButton, which is a small, wearable monitor. The goal is to see how well this device can help identify problems with walking (known as gait disturbances) that might happen due to taking multiple medications (a situation called polypharmacy). This study is specifically focused on nursing home residents, who often take several medications and may experience these issues.
To participate in the trial, individuals need to be over 18 years old and have documented issues with walking in their medical records. Unfortunately, people under 18, those who do not speak English, those who cannot give consent due to cognitive issues, and those who are bedbound cannot take part. If eligible, participants will wear the BioButton and will be monitored for their walking patterns. This study aims to improve understanding of how medications affect mobility in older adults, which could lead to better care in the future.
