ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using virtual reality (VR) glasses can help patients feel less anxious about their upcoming surgery. Specifically, it aims to see if experiencing a simulated version of the operating room through VR can reduce fear and improve how patients feel about their care before they have elective cholecystectomy surgery, which is a procedure to remove the gallbladder.
To participate in this study, you need to be 18 years or older, able to understand and communicate in Turkish, and this must be your first surgery where you haven't seen the operating room before. If you join, you can expect to wear VR glasses that will show you what the operating room looks like, which might help ease any worries you have about the surgery. The study is currently looking for volunteers, and your participation could help improve the experience for future patients.
