ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how effective ultrasound can be in predicting whether it will be difficult to place a breathing tube in young children during surgery. The goal is to improve safety and comfort for pediatric patients who need general anesthesia for elective procedures.
Children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old, regardless of gender, who are generally healthy (classified as ASA physical status I or II) and scheduled for certain surgeries are eligible to participate. However, children with certain conditions, such as facial injuries, large masses, or a history of neck surgery, will not be included in the study. If a child joins the trial, they will undergo an ultrasound examination of their airway as part of their pre-surgery evaluation. This study is currently recruiting participants, and the findings could help doctors better prepare for anesthesia in young patients in the future.
