ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called Zuoqing SAN to see how well it works for patients with Ulcerative Colitis (UC), particularly those who have a specific type of UC known as large intestine damp-heat syndrome. The researchers want to find out if using this traditional Chinese medicine can improve symptoms and overall health in patients with mild to moderate UC. They will look at changes in patients' symptoms, blood tests, and other health indicators before and after treatment. They will also conduct experiments on rats to better understand how Zuoqing SAN works in the body.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be diagnosed with mild to moderate UC. Unfortunately, people with severe UC or serious health conditions affecting the liver, kidneys, heart, or brain cannot join. Additionally, those who are allergic to traditional Chinese medicine or are pregnant or breastfeeding are also excluded. The trial is not yet open for recruitment, but once it begins, participants can expect to receive the Zuoqing SAN treatment and have regular check-ups to monitor their health and symptoms.
