ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new technique called TEThA (Transfixing Endovenous Thermal Ablation) to treat varicose veins, which are swollen and twisted veins that can cause discomfort and affect quality of life. The trial aims to see if this technique can improve the way laser treatment is performed, focusing on both the effectiveness of the procedure and how it affects patients’ overall well-being after surgery.
To join the study, participants need to be adults aged between 65 and 74 who have varicose veins larger than 2 mm and have a specific type of vein issue called reflux. However, individuals under 18, those who have had certain blood clots, pregnant women, or anyone who does not want to sign an agreement to participate cannot take part. If you qualify and decide to participate, you can expect to undergo the TEThA procedure and be monitored for any complications and changes in your quality of life afterward. This trial is not currently recruiting participants, but it may provide valuable insights into improving treatments for varicose veins in the future.
