ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the effectiveness of different teaching methods for food hygiene and safety training in the food industry. Researchers want to see how well virtual reality (VR) works compared to traditional methods like videos and written materials. VR allows participants to practice real-life food handling, such as washing hands and identifying hazards, in a realistic setting. The study aims to determine which method is most engaging and helps people remember important safety information over time.
To participate in this study, individuals should be native Chinese speakers, have normal vision, hearing, and hand mobility, and be between the ages of 65 and 74. Those who are currently involved in other VR studies or have issues like dizziness when using a VR headset will not be eligible. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the three teaching methods and will take tests before, immediately after, and a month after the training to measure what they've learned and how satisfied they are with the training. The study will be conducted safely and ethically, ensuring that all participants' rights and well-being are respected.
