ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving sleep for people who work night shifts. Nightshift workers often struggle to get good sleep during the day because their work hours are flipped compared to most people. The study aims to test a new way to measure sleep using multiple sensors and advanced technology to better understand and track sleep patterns during the day. Currently, the standard method only accurately identifies daytime sleep about half the time, which isn't very helpful for nightshift workers.
To take part in the study, participants must be at least 18 years old, work a regular night shift schedule (at least three nights a week), and have been doing so for at least six months. They also need to have a comfortable sleep opportunity of about eight hours each day and be willing to use smart sensors in their bedroom. Participants should not have any history of substance abuse, neurological disorders, or be pregnant. The study is not yet recruiting, but if you're eligible, you can expect to help researchers find better ways to support the sleep health of nightshift workers.
