ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the use of a mix of short-acting and long-acting local anesthetics to see if it can speed up the onset of pain relief during certain surgeries on the lower leg, like ankle or toe surgeries. Local anesthetics are medications that help numb a specific area of the body, allowing patients to undergo surgery with less discomfort. The goal is to find the best combination that not only works quickly but also lasts long enough to keep patients comfortable after their procedure.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult (at least 18 years old) scheduled for elective surgeries below the knee. However, there are some important exclusions: you cannot have a history of allergic reactions to local anesthetics, certain neurological disorders affecting your legs, severe kidney or liver issues, or be pregnant or breastfeeding. If you join the study, you’ll receive a nerve block to help with pain management during and after your surgery. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to help improve pain relief methods for future patients.
