ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the connection between cancer and blood clots, specifically looking at how circulating tumor cells may play a role in these clots. Researchers want to understand the differences in immune cell populations in patients with cancer-related blood clots compared to those with regular blood clots. They are also examining how certain treatments, like aspirin or specific blood-thinning medications, might affect the formation of these clots in cancer patients.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be at least 18 years old and either have a recent diagnosis of cancer or have been cancer-free for the past five years. Participants must also be willing to undergo a specific treatment called catheter-based thrombectomy, a procedure used to remove blood clots. Throughout the study, participants will be monitored closely and may receive treatment to help prevent or manage blood clots. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders.
