ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a mobile app called CareMom can help prevent perinatal depression in pregnant women in China. Perinatal depression is a type of depression that can happen during pregnancy or shortly after childbirth. The researchers want to find out if using CareMom for eight weeks can lower depression scores, both during the program and six weeks after giving birth. They'll also check how satisfied participants are with the app and look for any negative side effects.
To participate, women need to be between 18 and 45 years old, be 20 to 24 weeks pregnant, and at risk for depression but not currently experiencing severe symptoms. Participants will use the CareMom app or another relaxation app daily for eight weeks and fill out online questionnaires before and after the program. They’ll also need to report any discomfort while using the app. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help improve mental health for mothers during a critical time.
