ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the role of a procedure called colposcopy in evaluating women who have suspicious signs on their cervix, which is the lower part of the uterus. Colposcopy is a special examination that allows doctors to take a closer look at the cervix and, if needed, perform a small biopsy, or tissue sample, to check for cancer or other abnormalities. The goal of the study is to compare the findings from the colposcopy and the biopsy to better understand how to diagnose cervical cancer.
Women aged 30 to 64 who have symptoms such as unusual discharge, bleeding after sex, or bleeding between periods may be eligible to participate. To join, they should also have a cervix that appears unhealthy or have received a Pap smear showing early changes that could lead to cancer. However, pregnant women, those with active bleeding, or those who have already had treatment for cervical issues cannot participate. If you join the trial, you'll undergo colposcopy and possibly a biopsy, helping researchers learn more about how to detect cervical cancer early and improve care for future patients.
