ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at the effects of Kinesio-taping combined with standard physical therapy on improving arm function, movement, and stiffness in patients who have had a stroke. Specifically, it targets people who are in the subacute stage of recovery, which is a few weeks to a few months after the stroke. The study will involve patients aged 40 to 65 years old, both men and women, who have been diagnosed with a stroke and have specific muscle tone levels. Those with certain conditions, like serious cognitive issues or previous arm surgeries, won't be eligible to participate.

Participants in this trial can expect to receive physical therapy treatments three times a week for six weeks. This will include exercises to help with arm movement and strength, as well as the application of Kinesio tape to support their recovery. Each session will last about 30 minutes, focusing on gentle stretches and activities to improve their ability to use their arms effectively. Overall, the goal is to see if adding Kinesio-taping to their therapy makes a difference in their recovery after a stroke.
