ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different factors, like age and sex, affect migraine patients by measuring a specific protein called CGRP (Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide) in their blood and saliva. Researchers want to understand how these levels vary among people with migraines and compare them to healthy individuals. If you or someone you know suffers from migraines, this trial may be an opportunity to contribute to important research that could help improve treatment options.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must meet certain criteria. Specifically, they should have migraines as defined by established guidelines. Healthy individuals without migraines can also participate if they are matched by age and sex with the migraine patients. Participants will need to visit the study center twice: first for an assessment of their condition and then again for sample collection, which involves giving blood and saliva. It’s important to note that individuals with significant medical issues or those currently taking migraine medications cannot participate. Overall, this study aims to gather valuable information that could lead to better understanding and management of migraines.
