ClinConnect Summary
The Detour trial is studying a new mobile game designed to help young people aged 16 to 25 quit smoking. In this trial, researchers will compare the effectiveness of the Detour game with a digital self-help brochure that provides tips on quitting smoking. They aim to see which method better supports young smokers in their journey to stop smoking. To participate, individuals should smoke at least once a week and feel motivated to quit. If you’re between 16 and 25 years old and want to quit smoking, you might be eligible to join this study.
If you participate, you will be randomly assigned to either play the Detour game or use the self-help brochure for five weeks. During this time, all participants will focus on quitting smoking, and researchers will gather information about your smoking habits and feelings. This could be a great opportunity to get support in quitting smoking while contributing to important research that might help others in the future!
