ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called Coronary Microvascular Disease (CMD), which is a type of heart disease that affects the small blood vessels in the heart. People with CMD often experience chest pain, known as angina, despite having normal large blood vessels. This study aims to gather information about how CMD develops and its impact on patients' lives, as well as to understand the underlying causes of this disease, which are still not fully known.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have symptoms of angina along with evidence of reduced blood flow to the heart, but their larger heart arteries should appear normal or have only minor issues. Unfortunately, those under 18 or with certain other heart conditions will not be able to participate. If you join this study, you can expect to have your health monitored over time to help researchers learn more about CMD and how to better treat it. Your contribution could be important in improving care for others facing similar challenges.
