ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Detection of Electrodermal Activity in Pain 2," is exploring how we can better understand and measure pain in patients with serious illnesses like cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The researchers want to see if monitoring a patient’s skin responses, which change with different levels of pain, can help create a system that alerts both patients and caregivers when pain levels increase. This could lead to quicker responses to manage pain effectively.
To participate, individuals must be at least 18 years old, speak Danish, and have been experiencing ongoing pain for more than three months due to cancer or COPD. Participants will wear a special device for up to a week and report their pain levels throughout the day. The study is currently recruiting patients and aims to gather important information that could lead to new ways of monitoring and treating pain in the future. If you or a loved one fit the criteria and are interested, this could be an opportunity to contribute to important research.
