ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new type of dental crown called the Bioflx crown, which is designed to treat young children with early childhood caries, a common dental issue where cavities develop in baby teeth. The trial aims to see how well these crowns perform and how accepted they are by both children and their parents. The Bioflx crown is made from a combination of materials that makes it both strong and visually appealing, offering an alternative to traditional zirconia crowns, which can be more complicated to place.
To participate in the study, children must be between 1460 to 2921 days old (about 4 to 8 years old) and need a crown for their primary molars (the back teeth). However, children with certain health issues or those who are not cooperative during dental visits cannot join the trial. Families who enroll their children can expect to receive the Bioflx crowns and share their feedback about the treatment experience. Overall, this study hopes to improve dental care for young children by finding effective and attractive solutions for treating cavities.
