ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to improve how well African American communities understand oral cancer and its prevention. Researchers want to see if using an AI-powered chatbot—essentially a computer program that can have conversations—can teach people more effectively than traditional educational handouts. The goal is to increase knowledge about oral cancer, which includes types of cancer that affect the mouth and throat, and how to prevent it.
To participate in this study, you need to identify as African American and be able to read, speak, and write in English. If you're between the ages of 65 and 74 and can consent to join, you might be eligible. The trial hasn’t started recruiting participants yet, but once it does, you can expect to interact with the chatbot or review educational materials and then share your thoughts about what you learned. This research is important because it aims to provide better education on a critical health issue within minority communities.
