ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two types of healing abutments used in dental implants for people who are missing a single tooth in the back of their mouth. The goal is to see how well these different abutments help the surrounding soft tissue heal over a period of three months. One type of abutment is made in advance (prefabricated), while the other is specially made for each patient (customized).
To take part in the study, participants need to be adults aged 65 to 74 who are in generally good health and need a single implant in the lower jaw. They should have enough bone and gum tissue for the implant. However, people with certain health issues, such as uncontrolled diabetes, systemic diseases, or those who have had specific types of radiation treatment, will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you’ll receive one of the two types of abutments, and researchers will monitor how your soft tissues respond to the treatment. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to help improve dental implant outcomes for future patients.
